About Lazy Bun
From a lockdown baking page to food made for bringing people together
Lazy Bun began in lockdown, as a little baking project shared from the kitchen on Instagram. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a love for making food, sharing it with people and seeing where it could lead. Since then, Lazy Bun has gradually grown into the small catering business it is today. Now, Lazy Bun offers seasonal, thoughtful food for private dining, celebrations, events and — of course — cakes.
In 2020, with a lot more time at home and nowhere to go, Lazy Bun started life as an Instagram baking page. I was baking constantly, experimenting with recipes and sharing the results online. It was never meant to become a business — it was simply something creative to throw myself into at a strange time. But somewhere between the cakes, the recipes and the endless kitchen experiments, I realised how much I loved creating food for other people.
It started with a bake.
Meet Charlotte
My own career took me from professional chef training at Leiths School of Food and Wine, to cooking in the French Alps, before working in restaurant kitchens including The Arts Club in Mayfair, and then on to cooking and working across food, hospitality and events. Along the way, Lazy Bun kept evolving too. What began with cakes and bakes has grown into a small, independent catering business built around the things I love most: good seasonal ingredients, creative cooking and bringing people together around a table.
